Care Instructions
Keep your neon sign looking its best for years to come
Cleaning
- Always unplug your sign before cleaning. Let it cool for a few minutes if it has been on.
- Use a soft, dry cloth (microfiber works best) to gently wipe the surface of the neon tubing and backboard.
- For stubborn dust in crevices, use a soft brush or compressed air.
- Do not spray water, glass cleaner, or any chemical directly on the sign. Moisture can damage the wiring and connections.
- If you need to remove a stain, lightly dampen a cloth and wring it thoroughly before wiping. Avoid getting moisture near any connectors or wiring.
Daily Use
- It is safe to leave your sign on for extended periods. LED neon runs cool and is designed for continuous use.
- Use the built-in dimmer to lower brightness when you want a softer glow — this also extends the lifespan of the LEDs.
- If you plan to leave the sign off for an extended period (weeks or months), unplug the power adapter from the wall.
- Avoid plugging and unplugging the sign frequently. Leaving the adapter connected and using the dimmer switch is gentler on the electronics.
Placement
- Keep the sign indoors unless you purchased a weather-resistant outdoor model.
- Avoid direct sunlight — prolonged UV exposure can fade the neon tubing color over time.
- Do not place the sign in high-humidity areas like bathrooms or near open windows where rain could reach it.
- Make sure the sign is mounted securely. A loose sign can fall and damage the tubing or backboard.
What to Avoid
- Do not bend or pull the neon tubing.
- Do not cover the sign with fabric or paper — allow airflow around it.
- Do not use harsh chemicals, abrasives, or solvents for cleaning.
- Do not attempt to repair or modify the wiring yourself.
- Do not expose the sign to temperatures above 45°C (113°F).
Troubleshooting
Sign won’t turn on
Check that the power adapter is fully connected to both the sign and the wall outlet. Try a different outlet. If it still doesn’t work, contact us.
Part of the sign is dim or flickering
This may indicate a loose connection. Unplug the sign, check all connections, and plug it back in. If the issue persists, it may be covered under warranty.
Sign is making a buzzing noise
A faint hum from the power adapter is normal. If the buzzing is loud or comes from the sign itself, unplug it and contact us.
